Collection of Western Australian letters. 1806-1862.

A photocopied collection of letters of Australian interest in the possession of the Philatelic firm of Argyle Etkin Ltd of London. One letter was written by the surveyor George Harris in 1806; the others are Western Australian letters and covers, dating from 1842 to 1862 and includes letters by John Molloy and Griffith Boyer.

W.A. pioneer settler. Veteran of the Napoleonic Wars. Married Georgiana Kennedy in 1829 and they emigrated to W.A. in 1830. Pioneer settler at Augusta where he was appointed Resident Magistrate and JP. In 1839 moved to Vasse where he built the homestead "Fairlawn".
